RedZoneonFiOS20.pngYou already know that FiOS is the place for football, with everything from our widgets to our amazing HD picture and sound quality.  And now we’re making our football offering a little sweeter, with $10 off the NFL RedZone channel

If you’re not already familiar with the channel, found on channel 835 in HD and 335 in SD, it takes viewers around the league every Sunday afternoon for live coverage of critical plays when any team is inside its opponent’s 20-yard line.  NFL RedZone is included with FiOS TV’s Ultimate HD package, and is available to any other customer for $39.99 (plus taxes and fees) for the remainder of the 2010 season.

We’re going to be showing off the NFL RedZone Channel on FiOS during three football games this Sunday, Oct. 17:

  • at the Giants game at New Meadowlands Stadium, we’ll be at the Verizon Studio on the 100 Level of the Verizon Gate.
  • at the Patriots game at Gillette Stadium, we’ll be at the Verizon Studio by the East Gate.
  • and at the Redskins game at FedEx Field, we’ll be at Verizon Kiosks on the Concourse Level.

If you’re one of the lucky fans attending one of these three games, make sure to find us before the games start.  Not only will you get to check out the magic of FiOS and the NFL RedZone channel experience, but you can also enter to win a 32-inch, high-def TV set – no purchase necessary!  Check in with us at the Verizon studios and kiosks for the rules and regulations.

Whether you’ll be enjoying NFL RedZone at home this weekend or at one of these three games, FiOS will be right there with you, cheering on the home team.

NFL RedZone is by far the best way to watch football on Sundays... especially the late games; because there are usually only three or four games on at 4pm, one gets to see those games almost in their entirety on RedZone.

I live in New York, but last week I was able to enjoy the Saints/Cardinals game and the Chargers/Raiders game on RedZone and it was really cool.

Before I got FIOS I had Red Zone from Comcast and I happily paid $5.99/mo for it. I laughed when I saw that Verizon wanted $50. No way am I even paying $40 for it. I guess if you're really into Football it's worth the price, but the channel is only on for 7 hours a week.
